2016 - 2018 // This augmented reality-based application delves into the history of Düsseldorf. Selected as one of the best interdisciplinary European research projects, "The People's Smart Sculpture (PS2), 2014 - 2018," this application facilitates an augmented reality city tour through the past, divided into three main topics: culture, history, and infrastructure. Originally designed for tourists, newcomers to Düsseldorf, and residents curious about the city's past, it is also adaptable for students and location-based learning. A significant aspect of the project involved collecting video footage and photographs. The application features approximately 40 films contributed by Düsseldorf residents and the Filmmuseum Düsseldorf. To gather material for the project, the team sent out numerous letters to citizens, requesting old footage and memories, and obtained photographs from the city archive.
